Does it work with Arabic calligraphy?

Do photos convert into an identical vector?
Realistic photos become a flat poster-art style — no technology in the world turns a photo into an identical vector, because vectors are by nature color regions and paths.

Does it really work offline?

What image resolution should I use?
Sharper is better. Aim for at least 1000px on the longest side, with clean edges and a plain background. Heavily compressed or tiny images make the tracer follow compression noise instead of real edges, which produces jagged paths.
Why is my SVG file bigger than the original image?
Because each shape is stored as a mathematical path. Photos and gradients produce thousands of paths. For a smaller file, use the Simplified preset or lower Detail level to reduce the number of colour regions and paths.
Can I edit the colors before downloading?
Yes. After converting, the palette lists every color layer. Click a swatch to recolour it — shading is preserved — or hide a layer to drop it entirely, such as removing a background before export.
Can I use the SVG files for Cricut or laser cutting?
Yes. The output is standard SVG that imports into Cricut Design Space, Silhouette Studio, and laser software. Use the Logo / Text preset for the cleanest cut paths, and remove the background layer first.
Do I own the converted files? Is there a watermark?
12pixa adds no watermark or usage restrictions to the generated SVG. Your right to use the result depends on the rights you hold in the source image.
Which file formats can I convert?
PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF and BMP. You can also paste an image directly with Ctrl+V. Output is always SVG, which opens in Illustrator, Inkscape, Figma and any modern browser.
Does a WhatsApp or Facebook JPG work for conversion?
It works for a quick try, with limits: messenger apps compress images harshly, adding noise around edges. Ask the designer for the original file whenever possible, or re-export at the highest quality. Images smaller than 1000px are automatically enlarged up to 4× with Lanczos resampling before tracing.
Why do grey halos appear around letters after conversion?
JPG compression blends colours at sharp edges, and the tracer reads that blend as real intermediate shades. After converting, hide the lightest layer in the colour palette — the halos usually disappear and the letter stays clean.
